Randu is an attorney with over 25 years of experience. He has been a partner at international law firms, General Counsel of several major organisations, and a supervisory board member of large companies, so he sees legal issues the way a board does.
He heads Glimstedt’s M&A and Restructuring practice. He has led some of the largest M&A and real estate transactions in the region, taking clients from structuring through negotiation to closing, and he designs complex financing solutions. He is a strong negotiator and strategist with a particular track record in the defence sector. He has also played a key role in demanding restructurings and turnarounds, steering clients through financial and legal pressure to lasting results.
His international network lets him quickly build and lead cross-border teams. His deal-making rests on thorough preparation and a strong grasp of cultural context.
A significant part of his practice focuses on Ukraine. As Chairman of the Estonian-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce, he is active in business diplomacy. In June 2022, less than four months after the full-scale invasion began, he organised the first international business delegation to Ukraine. It brought together representatives of the defence, medical, development finance and banking sectors, along with investors from Estonia, Lithuania, Sweden and the United Kingdom.
